Ramadan:Please read.So would you say the best way for a guy to get married is...?

To actually go and search for a wife himself? Meaning, he shouldn't just wait for a girl to come knocking on his door? Girls, if a guy you hardley know, or just see around, asks your parents if he can marry you, would u be excited or awkward? I know you'll talk to eachother first, but still. I'm just afraid if I do this, or if my parents contact her parents, she'll feel like I'm weird or something. Salaam and thanks.
