Why does my 94 escort cut off?(no it's not a piece of sh*t thnx)?

we just replaced the fuel pump and now when the gas gauge hits just below half full the car will sputter and try to cut off when you make right turns.Anyone have any ideas?I appreciate it..and thanx to the smart es in advance.
