Which UC Schools (University of California) are best?

I'm a high school sopre (almost junior) and I have been thinking about college. I have a 4.8 gpa, and almost 40 hours of community service. I would like to stay in state (California). I am undecided on what i would like to major in. I am currently thinking about humanities (Literature, English, comparative literature, etc.) Which UC University has a better humanities program, learning environment, etc? Also, are dorm spaces really cramped?
