Any suggestions for a good horror movie?

I used to absolutely love horror movies, until directors started bringing out the real gorey stuff. My stomach can't handle surgeries on TV, let alone, gruesome scenes in the cinema. So I end up cringing throughout the movie lol. I'm beginning to dislike the genre because it seems like every horror movie is just focused on gutsing out people now.
